"And love dares you to care for the people on the edge of the night / And loves dares you to the change our way of caring about ourselves..."
Karen O(Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs) and Willie Nelson(Willie MotherF'ing Nelson!) have teamed up to cover the Queen/David Bowie hit from 1981. It's played in a style that is more fitting to Willie's guitar and voice. It's quite tender as opposed to being an anthem like the original. The way in which Karen, singing the Freddie Mercury lines, and Willie, handling the Bowie parts, trade verses makes the softy in me shed a tear or two. The message stays the same: Start caring about other people or this is just never going to work.
In the 80's the message was about economic and political strife. 40 years later we can add a global pandemic to the list while removing neither of the other two.

Here's are both versions. Let me know what you think.
